Ice Cream Funday!

My daughter's teacher has a end-of-year birthday party for all of the children in her class.  She ordered cupcakes for the celebration.  I decided to make "ice cream sundae" cupcakes for the kids, and I love the way they turned out.  I decorated them with buttercream icing, chocolate ganache, sprinkles and a sour cherry candy on top.

Flying Past Our Obstacles

This cake and cupcakes were ordered by the local High School Drill Team for their end-of-year banquet.  The colors in the cake matched the team's colors.  Their theme this year was "Flying Past Our Obstacles," and that is what they wanted on the cake.  There was a flying/cloud theme involved with the decorations, so the cupcakes were supposed to resemble sparkling clouds.

My Lovebug

My middle daughter, Kaia, is my little Lovebug.  For her 4th birthday recently, I decided to make her a lovebug cake.  The bug's head is covered in marshmallow fondant, and the body is covered in buttercream icing.  The dots are made from frosting sheets.  The cake suited my little sweetie perfectly, and she gave me the biggest smile when she saw it.

Over the Hill

This cake was for the 40th birthday of a teacher at my daughter's school.  The cake obviously represents going "over the hill."  The cake is decorated in buttercream icing.  I was told that the birthday girl loved her cake.

What a Star!

My client for this cake was a 13-year-old girl.  She was having a Hollywood Star/Casino Night themed party.  I created the cake to represent the Hollywood red carpet.  I also made cupcakes to represent the casino aspect of the party.  Both the cake and cupcakes were decorated with buttercream icing and fondant decorations.

A Couple of Cute Cupcakes

This cake was for a set of twins celebrating their first birthday.  The decorations for the party were pink and brown cupcakes, so I carried that over to the cake.  The client requested a neopolitan cake.  The strawberry, white and chocolate cake combination was a big hit!

Pretty in Hot Pink

My client for this cake was a 13-year-old girl. She was having a 1980's themed party. I decided on zebra print for the cake, which turned out to be something she loved. The bottom tier is completely covered in marshmallow fondant. The top tier is buttercream icing with fondant decorations. My client and her mother loved the cake! I had a great time making this one, and I love the final product!

Cookie Monster Likes Cakes!

This cake was made for my youngest cutie pie, Annie, on her 2nd birthday. She loves Sesame Street and was so excited when she saw her Cookie Monster cake! It was a big hit.

The Edible Bouquet

Give your sweetie a different kind of bouquet! This arrangement is made out of mini-cupcakes. I got inspired one day to try making this, and I was rather pleased with my creation.

The Birthday Princess

This cake was for the 1st birthday of a little princess. I covered both tiers in buttercream icing, and the decorations were made out of fondant. The accessories just added to the royal feel of this cake. I was very happy with this one, as was my client!

Big Things Come in Small Packages

I made this cake for a friend's baby shower. She knew she was having a little girl, and we already knew her name. I used both of those facts to my advantage when making the cake. The cake is covered in buttercream icing, and the ribbon is made out of marshmallow fondant.
